An overnight thaw is best. Simply place the unwrapped dessert and cake box it comes with in the refrigerator. Thawing time varies by flavour, however eight to ten hours generally works well. The dessert you are serving should be refrigerated at all times. To maintain freshness, keep covered.

A quick thaw is possible. Start by removing the dessert from the cake box it is stored in.  Once completed, remove the plastic wrapper and paper collar and place uncovered in the refrigerator for 4 to 5 hours. No, the benefit of this product is that you can thaw any number of the 14 slices you like. For slices that remain frozen, we recommend wrapping them as close as possible in plastic wrap and storing them in the original box in your freezer. If you have thawed slices left over, an airtight container is best and will keep the slices for up to 5 days.

The cheesecake or cake you have purchased comes with 14 slices. The slices have wax paper to separate the slices that are easily removed by using a cake cutter/server dipped in warm water. To remove a slice, slide the cake cutter/server under the slice between the base and the cheesecake/cake. Once completed, carefully peel back the wax paper attached to the slice from the back of the slice to the front.

Refreezing slices is not recommended as the shelf life and integrity of the product cannot be controlled. If you have thawed slices left over, an airtight container is best and will keep the slices for up to 5 days.

Yes, we are open to the public. Monday to Friday from 9 to 5. If you would like to serve our desserts at a larger event such as a wedding, contact us directly at sales@covetedcakes.com. We will also extend free delivery* within the GTA if a minimum of any 10 cheesecakes/cakes are purchased.
